GreenBird worked with Cathay to deploy smart trolley scales at both Cathay City and Cathay House, supporting more transparent waste management across its headquarters campus. One trolley scale is installed at Cathay City and another at Cathay House, enabling the facilities team to capture accurate weight data for different waste streams during daily collection rounds.
The key purpose of this setup is to record the precise weight of each category of recyclables at every collection point, instead of relying only on aggregated store‑level figures where the numbers are not fully transparent. With real‑time digital records from the trolley scales, Cathay can better monitor recycling performance, identify reduction opportunities, and track progress against its corporate sustainability targets.
